A FIFO utility resume should make your relevant service experience easy to find. Describe the cleaning, housekeeping, kitchen or customer-facing work you have actually done, then explain your availability. A hotel or hospitality background can be relevant without being described as mining experience.
This guide covers a fictional applicant moving from a hotel into camp services. It is an illustration, not a client resume or a promise of employment. Replace the details with your own facts.

Why this wording helps
“Cleaned rooms” becomes a clearer description when it names the checklist, the areas covered and what happens when something is wrong. It shows the work process without adding an invented productivity statistic.
“Helped in the kitchen” is made more specific through dishwashing, cleaning and basic preparation. That does not claim chef qualifications or responsibility for a food-safety programme.
Workplace training is labelled as workplace training. Do not rename an induction as a nationally recognised qualification or copy a ticket from an advertisement into your CV.

If the vacancy is mainly cleaning
Lead with housekeeping, cleaning methods, hygiene, laundry and the areas you maintained. Include the equipment you used if relevant. Explain how you recorded defects or handled keys and access, where this was part of your job. Keep kitchen experience as a supporting detail if it was a smaller part of your work.
If the vacancy is mainly kitchen-hand work
Put kitchen support first: washing utensils, preparing ingredients under direction, cleaning equipment, receiving supplies and following food-handling procedures. Be precise about your responsibilities. A kitchen hand should not copy a qualified chef’s profile.
Check the actual requirements
Camp roles vary. The vacancy may specify a licence, training, roster, departure location or previous experience. Make a separate list of requirements you meet and anything that needs clarification. Do not assume every camp-services vacancy has the same ticket list.
If you have never worked away, describe your availability accurately. Do not claim experience with remote camp life simply because you are willing to try it.
