A drillers offsider resume should explain the practical work you have performed, how you follow instructions and the responsibilities you have held around tools and equipment. If you have not worked on a drill crew, say so. An honest description of labouring experience is more useful than a copied list of drilling methods.
This fictional example is for a labourer seeking an entry-level offsider role. It does not establish the requirements of a particular vacancy.

What the example makes clear
The applicant has practical experience and understands working within instructions. The resume also makes the lack of drilling employment explicit. It does not claim competence in handling drill rods, collecting drill samples or operating a rig.
If you do have drilling experience, replace the entry-level summary. Identify the drilling method, the rig or equipment where relevant, your employer, dates and the tasks you actually carried out. Distinguish assisting from operating or supervising.
Run the drilling-support CV check. For a beginner, missing drilling terminology can be a prompt to check the vacancy, not an instruction to add experience you do not have.
Explain physical work without making health claims
Describe your work conditions and tasks: outdoor duties, materials handling, early starts or sustained shifts, if those were part of your experience. Avoid claiming a medical assessment result or attaching health information to the CV scanner. Employers can explain any assessment required through their recruitment process.
Read the vacancy before booking training
Check whether the role accepts beginners, the departure location, roster, driver’s licence requirements and any specified training. Requirements differ by employer and type of drilling. Ask the recruiter to clarify an uncertain requirement rather than buying a generic bundle of courses on the strength of a resume article.
A useful wording change
Before: “Hard worker, willing to do anything.”
After, only if true: “Prepared work areas, moved materials using handling aids and assisted trades on outdoor civil projects.”
The second version gives the recruiter something concrete to assess. Add a result only where you can substantiate it; a useful task description does not need an invented percentage.
