An entry-level FIFO resume should explain the work you can already do and identify the role you want. You do not need to pretend to have mining experience. Start with relevant employment, training, practical skills and accurate availability, then compare them with the vacancy.
The fictional example below is a warehouse worker applying for entry-level site support. It is not suitable for every role. A vacancy requiring a completed trade or experienced equipment operator needs different evidence.

Translate experience without overstating it
The warehouse example demonstrates following instructions, handling materials and reporting problems. It does not turn warehouse work into mine-site experience. That distinction lets a recruiter understand what transfers and what would require training.
Avoid a skills list built from the advertisement alone. “Isolation procedures”, “RC drilling” or a particular machine model should only appear as experience if you have actually done that work. If you completed a course but have not used the skill at work, describe the course separately.
Run the entry-level CV check to see which parts of your existing background are clear.
Choose one kind of work first
“Any FIFO job” makes it difficult to choose useful examples. Decide whether you are applying for camp services, site support, drilling support or another entry-level pathway. A hospitality worker can start with our camp utility example; a labourer considering drilling support can use the offsider example.
Read whether a vacancy actually accepts beginners. An entry-level resume does not substitute for a required qualification or experience requirement.
A cover-letter starting point
I am applying for the [role] position advertised by [employer]. My experience in [actual work] includes [relevant task] and [relevant task]. I am interested in moving into [type of work] and understand that this role involves [requirement from the advertisement]. I have [relevant qualification, if held] and am based in [location]. I would welcome the opportunity to discuss my suitability.
Replace every bracket and add a short, concrete example. Follow the employer’s instructions about whether a cover letter is needed. Do not write that you hold every required ticket if you do not.
What to leave out
Remove unsupported labels such as “experienced mining professional”, invented equipment hours and copied safety records. Do not attach identity numbers or medical details to a public resume example or scanner input. Use your contact details in the actual application, and provide other information through the employer’s requested process.
